Aleksandar Bojović – Scarzzy
Biography
I was born in Zemun, a part of Belgrade known for its great musicians.
For decades, Zemun has produced strong rock bands and talented artists.
In the 1990s, I was a teenager during the war years.
Even if it wasn’t directly in our backyard, it was close enough.
The conflict across the Drina felt like a heavy cloud over our lives.
It shaped the mood of an entire generation.
In those abnormal times, a powerful rock scene was born.
It was filled with brilliant and creative people.
Every part of Belgrade had its own legendary identity.
Still, most people agree that Zemun always stood out.
I grew up in an environment that fought pain through music.
Good sound became our escape and our medicine.
Zemun Rock Scene and the Fest Club
The legendary Fest club played a huge role in that story.
Fest helped launch many important bands from the local scene.
It became a key place for musicians, fans, and underground rock culture.
For many of us, Fest wasn’t just a club.
It was a second home.
It shaped our taste, our sound, and our ambition.
Early Years and First Band
Zli Patuljci (1996)
My first band was called Zli Patuljci, founded in 1996.
I started it with my closest friends.
We played covers of Serbian rock legends like EKV, Partibrejkers, and Riblja Čorba.
At first, we rehearsed in our guitarist’s room.
We had drums, amps, guitars, and loud screaming vocals.
His mom quickly had enough of it.
So we moved rehearsals to my room, which was much bigger.
My parents supported the whole idea.
They even encouraged us to keep going.
Still, we were young and careless.
We never played a single gig.
The band broke up soon after.
Jailbreak and the Classic Rock Era
Jailbreak (2000s)
Years passed and many bands came and went.
In the early 2000s, I founded Jailbreak.
The band focused on classic rock and hard rock covers.
Our repertoire included legendary artists such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Jimi Hendrix, and Pink Floyd.
We played at Fest, but also across Belgrade.
During that time, we also started writing original songs.
I wrote most of them.
The Ultimate GN’R Experience
Guns N’ Roses Tribute (2003–Present)
In 2003, I founded a Guns N’ Roses Tribute band.
We performed at the famous KST club.
After only two gigs, the bassist and rhythm guitarist left.
That moment pushed me to combine both projects.
That’s how Jailbreak – The Ultimate GN’R Experience was created.
Other Bands and Projects
Beer Drinkers & Hellraisers (2005–2009)
Alongside Jailbreak, from 2005 to 2009, I was the frontman of Beer Drinkers & Hellraisers.
It was one of the most well-known Belgrade club bands.
Baltazar (2007–2013)
From 2007 to 2013, I played bass in the Croatian rock band Baltazar.
That period brought new experience, touring energy, and a wider scene.
New Chapter
* Current Projects *
The Unza Unza Orchestra (2023–Present)
Since 2023, I have been performing with The Unza Unza Orchestra.
This project is a direct continuation of the legendary No Smoking Orchestra spirit.
It is one of the wildest and most unpredictable bands I have ever played with.
We are currently working on a new album.
It will be a complete musical schizophrenia, in the best possible way.
12 Gates (2025–Present)
In 2025, I founded 12 Gates with four close friends.
We are currently preparing our first album.
We also hope to launch a major tour soon.
Musical Style and Influences
My musical identity was shaped by classic rock, hard rock, grunge, and progressive rock.
Over the years, I built my style through both live performance and studio work.
I always focused on strong vocals, powerful riffs, and a dynamic stage presence.
Some of my biggest influences besides The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy include Aerosmith, Guns N’Roses Queen, Muse, and Queens of the Stone Age.
I was also deeply inspired by the sound and emotion of bands like Soundgarden and Alice in Chains.
One of my bigiest heroes is great, late Chris Cornell
I have a strong connection to progressive rock and musicianship-driven music.
That influence comes from bands like Rush and Dream Theater.
I also admire technical precision and melodic power, which I found in Mr. Big.
At the same time, I always respected artists who pushed boundaries.
That’s why Frank Zappa remains one of my biggest inspirations.
When it comes to vocal heroes, three names stand above all for me.
Chris Cornell, Ronnie James Dio, and Steven Tyler shaped the way I think about singing.
Their power, tone, and charisma remain unmatched.
Live Performance Philosophy
For me, live performance is the ultimate test of a rock band.
Energy, attitude, and sound must hit the audience instantly.
A great show is not just music.
It is emotion, connection, and impact.
I always believed that a band must sound powerful and authentic.
The crowd should feel the music, not just hear it.
That is why I focus on detail, dynamics, and stage presence.
Every performance should feel dangerous, alive, and unforgettable.
That is the spirit of rock and roll.

Serbian localisation:
Sound technician – Voiceover & dubbing
Since 2011, I worked at Studio Mobi, where I was involved in Serbian dubbing and localization projects for major international companies such as Disney and Universal. During that period, I worked on a wide range of animated feature films and productions, contributing to the audio recording and production process behind Serbian versions of titles such as Frozen, How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2, The Croods, Turbo, Rio 2, Home, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Despicable Me 1 & 2, and Tinker Bell, among many others. Being part of these productions gave me a deep understanding of professional studio workflow, voice recording, technical standards, and the importance of detail when working on projects meant for a wide audience.
Gold Digi Net – Nickelodeon
Later, from 2015 to 2017, I worked with Nickelodeon, where I recorded and produced Serbian localizations for numerous popular TV series. This period was intense, fast-paced, and extremely valuable in shaping my discipline and efficiency in studio work. Some of the projects I worked on include Harvey Beaks, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Bella and the Bulldogs, The Thundermans, Game Shakers, and many more. Working on such a variety of formats and characters helped me sharpen my skills not only as an audio engineer, but also as someone who understands timing, performance, emotion, and storytelling through sound.
Livada – Disney, Cartoon network, HBO
From 2019 to 2025, I worked at Sinker Media, Serbian department of Croatian multimedia production “Livada” as an audio engineer, recording engineer, and localization director, producing Serbian versions of content for Cartoon Network, HBO and other major clients. During this time, I participated in the production of a huge number of series and episodes, covering everything from long-running fan favorites to new generation animated content. This experience pushed my technical skills even further and gave me years of hands-on work with professional recording sessions, editing, dialogue cleanup, mixing, and final delivery standards.
Experience
Throughout these years, I had the opportunity to work on an enormous amount of animated content, including projects related to Star Wars productions such as Star Wars series and Rebels, before Disney shifted its distribution. After that, the main focus remained on Cartoon Network content, where I worked on productions ranging from Teen Titans Go, The Amazing World of Gumball to newer titles such as LEGO DreamZzz, Pocoyo, and many others.
All of these experiences shaped the way I approach creative work today. They taught me how to work under pressure, meet deadlines, maintain professional quality, and deliver consistent results. They also strengthened my ability to combine artistic thinking with technical precision — something that I now apply to everything I create, whether it’s music, video, or design.
Because of my background, I’m comfortable working on projects that require a full production pipeline: from early concept and planning, through recording and editing, all the way to the final polished product. I understand the value of good sound, strong visuals, and a clear creative direction — and I always aim to merge those elements into something that feels authentic, powerful, and professional.
Today, my focus is on building original multimedia projects, collaborating with artists and bands, and expanding my creative portfolio through music production, audiovisual storytelling, graphic design, and live performance work. My goal is to continue creating content that has identity, atmosphere, and a recognizable signature — whether it’s for a personal project, a collaboration, or a professional commission.
